Yes. Every Tough Shelter, whether it’s a container mounted shelter system, concrete or pole shelter is engineered to meet AS/NZS 1170.2:2021 standards and built in an ISO9001-accredited factory. That means our shelters are designed to withstand strong New Zealand winds and manufactured under strict quality controls, so you know it’s built right, every time.

Absolutely. Every Tough Shelter comes with double-stitched sleeves for extra durability. We use heavy-duty 610gsm PVC canopies and hot-dipped galvanised steel framing, so your container, pole or livestock shelter is built to handle the knocks and keep standing strong.

Yes! We cover the entire country so can deliver to your site and install your shelter no matter where you’re located in New Zealand.

Yes. Our range includes options that work perfectly as calf shelters or livestock shelters. Pole shelters work well for livestock shelters and our range of end walls, doors, and accessories can be added to tailor your container mounted shelter system to your farm or industrial site.

All our covers can be mounted to 20ft or 40ft shipping containers, timber posts, steel posts or concrete blocks.

Our standard colours are white and dark green, however we can do other colours on request.

Yes, we can. You can either supply your own shipping containers or let us know if you’d like us to take care of these too and we will build into your quotation.  We can also take care of any container modifications if you need.

We can supply your Tough Shelter as a kitset for you to assemble yourself or we can manage the full installation for you. We have installers nationwide so no matter where you are in New Zealand, we have you covered. Our team ensures your container mounted shelter system is installed correctly and safely, so you get a shelter that’s ready to perform from day one.

More often than not, we can dispatch your shelter within 24 hours of order placement! Longer lead times apply for customised shelters outside of our stocked sizes. We can give you a clear timeline in your quotation.

Sometimes yes - it depends on your location, size and shelter purpose. We can provide engineering documents to assist in obtaining consent and we can provide more advice based on your individual requirements.

Several factors can affect cost: framing gauge, canopy material quality, additional features like end walls, doors, ease of installation, site specific requirements and accessibility. We price transparently, you’ll see what each upgrade or customisation adds.

With heavy-duty materials and proper installation, our shelters are built to endure.  To prolong life: ensure periodic tightening of bolts and straps, inspection and cleaning of covers to prevent dirt accumulation, clean off debris, prompt repair of any minor damage and ensure water doesn't pool.

Yes. One big advantage of our container shelters and shipping container farm buildings in general is their versatility. Most are designed to be relocated or re-configured if your site or project changes.  Ask us about relocation options when we quote for your design.
